Coaching supports you in moving forward with courage and strength.
Three key things that you should know about working with a coach.
1. Coaching is a supportive, collaborative partnership with the client.
2. Coaching does not seek to fix, heal or convert.
3. Coaching provides a safe, neutral and confidential place to explore and discover ways to a more fulfilling life.
So what is a life coach? And how is Transformational Life Coaching different?
Professional life coaches provide an ongoing partnership to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives, improve performance and enhance quality of life. Coaches are trained to listen, observe and customize approaches to individual needs, elicit solutions and strategies from the client, believing that the client is naturally creative and resourceful. This is partly why coaching can feel therapeutic, though coaching is not therapy. Coaches refer to this as creating a sacred or inspiring space, where the client experiences powerful listening and feels trust and support.
Life coaches empower people to make the changes they want in their lives (work, relationships, health, financial, personal development), while Transformational Coaching also emphasizes making core changes that are in alignment with one’s deepest values.
I view my job as a coach as someone who is a thinking partner, helping to build buffering strengths for people who can then become their own coach, and their own master of change.
